​Our History
Unity Lutheran was official founded in 2024 after years of collaborative ministry between Faith and Trinity Lutheran Churches.
Faith Lutheran
Faith Lutheran held its first worship service on January 19, 1964. Since then, the congregation has served Burlington and the surrounding community with passion and faith.

Sunny Day Preschool has been a fixture of Faith's outreach for many years.
Trinity Lutheran
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran was started in 1884 as an English speaking mission outreach congregation. Originally located at 115 S. Central Ave., the congregation later moved to worship with Faith Lutheran after a boiler explosion in 2019 damaged the building.
A Reconciling in Christ Congregation
"We commit to being a Reconciling in Christ Congregation. As followers of Christ, who calls us to reconciliation and wholeness, we, the members of Unity Lutheran, welcome all who are seeking God. Believing all are one in Christ Jesus. We welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, as well as those who may have been excluded because of other human distinctions, such as race, ability, age, or economic status. We commit ourselves to the work of anti-racism, in institutions and internally; interpersonal and structurally. We pledge to ourselves and to all others to live as a reconciling people seeking reparations in our life together and in our outreach to the world through the welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy for the beloved in the kingdom of God. "
